Yannis was born in Athens, Greece in 1972 where he still lives. He is an Electrical and Computer Engineer, with a PhD in Financial Risk Management. As of March 2005, he acts as the Advisor to a top-governmental Secretary General for the Information Society in Greece. He has a long-lasting interest in photography since 1992 as an amateur, which however turned into a passion when he acquired his HP945 in November 2003. He considers photography to be a source of continuous creativeness, “helping you to see, even when you don’t have a camera…”. He is currently investing time in harnessing his photographic skills both through trial-and-error as well as through reading photography-related books on composition, the psychology of vision and the occasional Photoshop - skills.
