Hussein Al-Osman [alosman] - Makkah, Saudi Arabia
Member since Feb 03, 2005

Hussein Al-Osman is a 45 year old software engineer. He is working as a software project manager in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, where he studied Computer Science and Statistics; but he prefers to live in Makkah, since 1980.

His first camera was Kodak Ektralite 10, but after a month he jumped to a Yashica fx-7 SLR, with a 42-75mm zoom , and later, several lenses and filters. Since then, he carries his camera every where, most especially on boy scouts camps and trips.

His preferred subjects to photograph includes: buildings, landscapes, and close ups. After reading some previews, and comparing prices, it has taken only a few hours to get his first REAL digital camera, the HP-850, in December 2004.

He likes its amazing optical zoom, and does not care about low performance, because of nature of his preferred subjects. He plans for that!

Hussein is interested in scouting, reading, Arabic calligraphy, and taking care of his lovebirds.

Now, he is planning a photographic journey to his home country, Syria, especially in old town of Aleppo.

His HP-850 camera will soon go to his sister, Dr. Najwa, a specialist in Islamic Historical Buildings; then he will get a new HP
